Qiu Qifeng
Attorney at Law
Mr. Qiu graduated from East China University of Politics and Law
with bachelor degree in international economic law with the
honor of “excellent graduate”, and obtained the Lawyer License
in 2004 (License No.: 13101200410658515 ).
Before being a member of Leezhao Law Office, Mr. Qiu had been
working in a large comprehensive law office in Shanghai which
focuses on foreign concerned legal affairs. Being the backbone
of the key department for a long time, he engaged in dealing
with some important businesses and directly being responsible
for coordinating many such management works as electronic
operation system and management system of service quality,
Acting as the counselor for many multinational corporations
among of which are Top 500s worldly or holding prevailing status
to their rivals, JVs and local group companies, which cover such
areas as electronic manufacturing, commerce and trade,
semiconductor, Real Estate, financing, energy, heavy machinery,
Mr. Qiu has been focusing on the legal affairs in the following
areas: international trade, investment/ M&A, liquidation and
bankruptcy, real estate, LP, international finance, laboring and
IP.
With well-trained and careful thinking, Mr. Qiu has also
acquired abundant working experience and skills in practice when
he deals with the common legal issues coming up in a company’s
daily operation. The important cases which Mr. Qiu dealt with
include the following: providing comprehensive legal service for
a foreign consulate in China; providing comprehensive legal
service for a paper-pulp integrated manufacturing program with
the total investment amount over a billion US dollars which is
invested by a multinational corporation; helping foreign
companies establish foreign invested commercial enterprises in a
short time at the beginning of China’s opening its commercial
market to foreign investors; acting for a famous domestic
state-owned enterprise to deal with some complicated legal
issues such as business negotiation on M&A, due diligence, M&A
plan design in its M&A project with an international giant in
the same industry.
Mr. Qiu has also attached importance to accumulation and
enrichment of his knowledge on the specialty. As the fruit of Mr
Qiu’s research, he published some articles on FDI on the medias,
and compiled a practice handbook named Law Manual on Dealing
with Business Disputes for Japanese -invested Enterprises in
China .
